It has been a painful experience to keep writing on this blog. I tried several times to write but quickly give up on it. I kept thinking some things are better left unsaid…mmph.

Anyway, tonight is another attempt of me writing.

I have finished reading Anne Frank and The Zahir.

The Zahir was a tough reading. I think the book is questioning about our faith and belief. Maybe I fail to appreciate it as I usually find the answer about life in the book of religious teaching or Quran itself. Well, maybe I should be more open to the ideas in the book..I think that’s where I failed. Nevertheless, I managed to finish the book and that alone is a great accomplishment.

Anne Frank is a fun reading… she didn’t sound like a girl who had lived in terrible times.  25 months living in the same place with the same people and yet she can still find amusement in her life, that’s just wonderful. I feel that war is just a vicious cycle. One oppressed community will one day return to avenge the rest of the world..and the cycle will continue, the end of one war is the beginning of the other. How sad…

My suggestion for good movies…watch angus, thongs… it’s just plain funny and brilliant…haha…it makes you want to be 15 all over again.

For a more mind boggling quest, watch body of lies. As a Muslim, it was really hard to watch the movie at least the first 15 minutes of the movie. The movie is disturbing in many ways…what is jihad? is it ok to blow up people or the infidels? This is the question that every Muslim has to answer…allahualam. It’s still surprising though to hear the casts speak in arabic and recite a few verses in the Quran…very refreshing.
